Being announced as the Emergent Artist Prize on the opening night. My first art prize! It's definitely a highlight of my art journey!!

Pamela Leung 15 – 24 June 2017 Thursday-Saturday, 2-6pm Opening - Thursday 15 June, 6-8pm Artist in Gallery - Sunday 18 June, 2-6pm Factory 49, 49 Shepherd Street, Marrickville. Knot - connected - joint - crowd - security - bond - weaving - tie. As a member of a diaspora, we can often feel a knot in the stomach, arising from a lack of bonding and connection with people and space in our everyday life. This is a creative language drawn from Pamela Leung's personal experience with different cultures. As many other transnational migrants, Pamela made her journey to Australia from Hong Kong in the 70s. Her artwork explores the experience of a member of the Chinese diaspora, many of whom have left their homeland to seek new lives, and opportunities in different parts of the world.

After being quite intense for the last 2 weeks to do all the preparation for the exhibition! I feel excited to start the installation tomorrow! The opening is on Wednesday, 8 February at Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre. Hope the installation is going to be great!

Only three weeks to go for my second solo exhibition in Hong Kong! The exhibition is at VA! Hong Kong Visual Art Centre from 9-13th February 2017. Opening on Wednesday 8 February 6.30-8.30pm. At the moment is right into all the processing and problems solving, very intense but a lot of excitement! Opening: Friday 9th December, 6-8pm Artists' Talk: Saturday 17th December 3-5pm Open Hours: Friday-Sunday 11-5pm, 10-24th December 2016 "it's knot just me, it's us" A performing, participatory installation. Robes and fabrics. Dimension variable. Please help me to knot, to connect, to join, to tie and to untie the knot....

'Please feel free to walk on the eggshells', I was really happy to see a lot of audiences participated during the exhibition. This is a long process work. Those thousands and thousands of eggshells were collected over two years from bakery, cafes and friends. The cleaning process of the eggshells is meditative but painful.  By the end of the exhibition, all the eggshells got trampling into pieces.

The end exhibition for my art studies at National Art School, what a journey! I'm going to miss the school a lot!  Please come and join us to celebrate, it's going to be a great show!
